WEEK 2!!!

    This week was already more eventful than the first two weeks combined and it was fantastic! I was starting to think I'd just be doing homework in my room all semester. But believe me, there was plenty of that too. Chemistry remains to be my most difficult class by far. But hard classes, spending a lot of time on school work, and the fact that online classes are worst is nothing new. I'm trying to focus more on the cool things I do while I'm here and this is the first week so far I can do that!
    I went to see Shang-chi in theaters since the school was offering tickets to students and, lucky for me, a shuttle to and from the theater. I made a friend and she invited me to the state fair on Saturday! So we went with a group of 5 and spent most of the day at the fair. We got tickets for some of the rides, watched a dog show, ate a bunch of food, and pet some animals. After, we took a short hike to see a waterfall, took a quick break, and then went to a bonfire. Easily the busiest day so far but I made up for the previous few weeks of doing nothing. 
    I still have a few things to look forward to this week. I have to ride the bus for the first time to go to my first yoga class of the semester, so wish me luck!

    You look like you are having so much fun. My sister was actually born in Alaska. I remember hearing about the odd daylight hours. Is that something you have to deal with yet?

First Week Recap

     So far so good. I was able to get a negative COVID test result, so I got to attend my Chemistry class. It took a second to work through the format of all my online classes but this week was only introduction assignments. All except Chemistry of course, we started right off with the first chapter of information and a nice easy 176 question homework assignment. I caught up with all my work over the weekend so hopefully this week won't be so bad.      There are still a few things I need get more used to around campus. I have to figure out the bus system so I can get to some of my classes. I also want to go to the gym at some point but needless to say, running long distances on a treadmill doesn't exactly motivate me since they don't have a track.      All in all there is not much to talk about. I have a few plans for next week, but I'll save it for the next blog!

WEEK 8!!!

 I figured out that I skipped a week when I changed my blogging day from Monday to Saturday so I had to catch myself up with my titles. This week was another interesting one. I did find myself at the library everyday this week to do work. However, as of literally 5 minutes ago, my WiFi starting workng again. After multiple calls and emails and tests all they had to do was reset the router. Of course. At least I got comfortable working in the library, I think that'll come in handy if I just need to switch up my environment to focus on my work.  I made a bit of progress with my study abroad plans. I've finished setting up my student account and narrowed down some housing options. I just need to apply to a few dorms and figure out a few more classes to take while I'm there.  Overall another well-rounded week. WEEK 11!

 Another week gone by, this one was weird. I really didn't have a lot to do this week so I took the liberty of giving myself a mental health week. I slept in most days and read a lot and watched a lot of TV. But honestly it was a much needed break, and next week will go back to normal.  I finally achieved one of my goals and I saw a moose on campus! I was just walking to my chemistry class and there were two moose (mooses?) just standing right outside. I'm very glad I looked up because I feel like I could've just walked right by them and not even noticed. I have plenty of videos, unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture to post on here. You'll just have to take my word for it.  I went to go see Eternals on Friday and I loved it. I had no real prior knowledge on who the eternals were so I had no guesses on what the plot was, but I was happily suprised. The two post-credit scenes did not disappoint.
